155 lbs vs 115 lbs
In honor of my 2 year vegetarian anniversary, I present this lil’ gem I just discovered.
Bikini Before & After! :) [I’m 5’4”]
1st pic: 5/2012 (124lbs)
2nd pic: 8/2014 (132lbs)
I remember when the first picture was taken, I was too self-conscious to wear just my bikini bottoms because of how much I disliked my thighs and butt. I was starving myself and trying to run 3 miles everyday. I remember flexing as hard as I possibly could for this pic so that maybe my abs could be visible. I really didn’t know what being healthy was.
Today, I took the second picture. And today, goddamit, I am madly in love with my body. It’s been the most fantastic learning process, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I’m so proud of what my body can DO, and the aesthetics are just a great bonus. :) And I’m not even flexing this time!
Make the healthy choice. Your mind and body will thank you for it. <3
#transformationtuesday to give myself a boost in confidence and motivation ✌️ just because I am not where i want to be, doesn’t mean I’ve not achieved anything. 💗 I am a completely different person to the girl on the left, new outlook, lifestyle and fitness level. 👌 and I am so glad I am who I am today. 💜 but one day, the photo on the left will be the ‘last year’ picture and the ‘this year’ will be me ripped and lean as hell!😝 #goaldigger #absonabs
Starting weight: 194 lbs Current weight: 139 lbs Goal weight: 132 lbs toned and strong! Height: 5’2” I started college in the 130s, but a very bad relationship and no understanding of healthy eating habits led to my gaining 60 lbs in the four years before I graduated. I was complacent with my heavy weight and unhealthy lifestyle for a long time, but something just clicked inside my head in the summer of 2012 and I decided I’d had enough.
I’ve made a lot of progress on this journey with my weight (losing 57 lbs so far!), but more importantly I’ve adopted a completely new lifestyle - one focused on health, fitness, and lifelong maintenance. I am very comfortable with my weight and body now, so I’m focusing on gaining muscle and creating a sustainable fitness routine to match my healthy eating habits! I know I’ll shed a few more lbs as I continue on this journey, which I’m totally okay with since I’m getting married in a year!
Please join me in my journey by following my blog: journeyofcurves :) I’m tracking my weight loss journey in detail, and I’m trying to inspire and motivate as I do so! Creating a support system (online and in real life) is crucial to success in this journey and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, so I hope we can share our journeys and support one another! I hope you enjoy my blog and I look forward to getting to know you!
Three years ago today I made the change. I embraced a healthy lifestyle and I couldn’t be happier.
On August 1st, 2011 I was at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been. I weighed in at 146 pounds and now I’m 113 pounds. (I’m 5’2) Now I’m living life happy and healthy.
Hard work pays off.
